RELIGIOUS EDUCATION & EVANGELIZATION
Hearing the Good News in our hearts, and sharing that Good News with others are at the core of our religious education & evangelization ministries. We offer opportunities to learn more about the Lord, and to deepen the experience of being in relationship with God in Word and in worship. You might consider if you are called to any of the following ministries.
Religious Education Classes – these are offered to children, pre-K through Grade 8, on Sunday mornings from 10:10 a.m. through 11:20 a.m., September through May, in Mother Mary Lange School.
Sacramental Preparation -- throughout the year, we offer individual and group preparation for celebrating the sacraments of First Communion, Reconciliation, and Confirmation.
RCIA and RCIC (Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults and for Children) -- we prepare Christian, non-Christian, and Catholic adults and children for full initiation into the life of the Catholic Christian Church. RCIA and RCIC are offered in groups, on Sunday mornings, from 10:10 a.m. through 11:20 a.m. in the Parish Center. These classes usually run from October through the Easter Vigil, although individual preparation is available where needed.
Adult Faith Formation – workshops aimed at enabling adults to deepen their understanding of the faith, and continue their walk with God throughout life are offered throughout the year. Offerings cover a wide variety of topics from liturgy to prayer to scripture study to interfaith relations and more. A schedule of these workshops is available by calling The Religious Education Office on 410-488-0400 ext 109.
Training in all of these ministries is provided, and no previous experience is necessary. To inquire about participating, or to volunteer to serve, contact The Religious Education Office at 410-488-0400 ext 109.
