In July 1995, St. Anthony of Padua and Most Precious Blood parishes came together as one Faith Community that meets in two different churches. The pastoral staff and pastoral council designed a logo to reflect this new opportunity for ministry in northeast Baltimore.
The logo appears on our stationery, on our parish bulletin, and on our website. The Cross is at the center of our logo. We exist because of Jesus Christ, the Anointed One of the Father, who by his cross and resurrection has redeemed the world. The Holy Spirit (represented by a Dove) empowers us to proclaim the gospel as it is proclaimed in the Sacred Scriptures (Bible), celebrated in the sacraments (represented by a Chalice) and demonstrated through our service (represented by a Baptismal Shell) to God in northeast Baltimore and beyond. The Circle tells us that we came together as one community in 1995.
On yet another level, the Chalice represents the name, Most Precious Blood, and the Bible represents the patron, St. Anthony of Padua, because he was renowned as a preacher and teacher of the Word of God.
