The Needlework Ministry was formed in May 2005 by a group of knitters and crocheters who are dedicated to using their creativity for charitable purposes. To date we have donated:
150 chem caps 44 baby clothing items 66 scarves 21 lap robes
58 hats 22 baby blankets 9 blankets 17 pairs of mittens
To the following organizations:
University Hospital Tamar's Children Johns Hopkins Hospital Project Linus
Bayview Medical Center Veterans' Home TLC Assisted Living Christopher Place
Headstart/New Orleans My Sister's Place Hamilton Nursing Center Franciscan Center
Anyone who knits or crochets, or would like to learn, is welcome to join us. We meet at 7:15 pm on the first Thursday of odd-numbered months in the Parish Center at St. Anthony of Padua.
If you can't knit or crochet and would like to support us, we can always use donations of yarn. Just mark it for the Needlework Ministry and leave it at one of the entrances to either Church or at the Parish Center.
